The economy has been seriously affected since the coronavirus appeared and many people have lost their jobs, or even worse, their companies. According to a recent study, 83% of the employees had been making changes to the way they perform their jobs since they stay quarantine because of the COVID-19 pandemic. Many people continue working from home, thanks to technology we can easily handle this issue.

Technology and their magic tools are always making our lives easier. Workers, while quarantined, affirmed they had been performing their tasks following three basic principles, which are: be informed, be efficient, be impactful.

Be informed

This involves many things, because many of us have never used Zoom, Webex, teams nor other videoconferences platforms, and since we started to work from home we attempt to adapt to this new way of work. We investigate how this works and how our business environment will be adapting to technology. Adapting to tech modality helps to create communication and have daily briefings among the company’s members. Chatting in skype would be faster than e-mail communication. Also using the cloud could help our firm to keep everyone informed in real-time.

Be efficient

You must first be informed and then you will be ready to be efficient. You are not able to have face-to-face contact with clients or with your teamwork, but the better way to replace it is a videoconference. Also, if your work involves writing, you may use a drive or a similar app to work together with your colleagues. You also must schedule your tasks, because while working from home the time gets faster, and sometimes, we do not complete our daily tasks on time. Try to manage your time.

Be impactful

The pandemic will end soon, and it would be perfect to look back and know it mattered. When you look back on your work, you can see that projects are moving forward, and by this, we assume that this would be impossible without technology and their tools.
